Peregrine Asset Management Inc (Peregrine) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Peregrine Financial Group Inc (PFGBEST). PFGBEST is one of the world’s largest non-clearing futures commission merchants, maintaining several branches and over 500 representative offices in over 80 different countries. Peregrine was created in response to demand from existing PFGBest clients for access to high-quality TAs (Trading Advisors) in a fund structure that would complement traditional allocations to equity and fixed-income portfolios. Strategically, Peregrine’s formation is a natural evolution from PFG’s expertise and knowledge in the futures and managed futures space. The creation of its subsidiary, Peregrine is the logical extension of this strategy by providing the formal structure whereby fund products can be developed by capitalizing on the firm’s expertise, combined with the skills of its portfolio management professionals.
